Living in Upper Edmonton area information and guide

Upper Edmonton area overview

Upper Edmonton is situated in the north east of London. The main shopping district is referred to by locals as "The Angel" after a pub of the same name which stood there until the mid twentieth century when it was demolished to make way for the north circular. The area is exceptionally multicultural even for north London, with large Afro-Caribbean, Black African, Albanian, Bangladeshi, Chinese, Greek, Portuguese, Pakistani, Somalian and Turkish communities. Public transportation is strongest for buses but it does have tow rail station Silver Street which runs into Liverpool Street in just 15 minutes.
