Living in Shepherds Bush area information and guide

Shepherds Bush area overview

Shepherds Bush in west London is an area on the up. For a long time it had a reputation for being slightly''rough around the edges' but now its well and truly on the cusp of greatness. The area is very large both in terms of area and population. It is bounded by Wormwood Scrubs park to the north and Goldhawk Park to the south.

Although it is mainly a residential area, its focus is the shopping area of Shepherd's Bush Green, the north side of which is home to the Westfield shopping centre, the largest urban shopping mall in Europe. The main thoroughfares are Uxbridge Road, Goldhawk Road and Askew Road, all containing a large number of small and mostly independent shops, pubs and restaurants. The Loftus Road football stadium in Shepherd's Bush is home to Queens Park Rangers F.C..
