Living in Ickenham area information and guide

Ickenham area overview

Ickenham in west London is a residential suburb and very much part of the commuter belt. Strictly speaking the area is split in two Ickenham in the north and Hillingdon in the south. These two parts each have an eponymous tube statin on both the Metropolitan and Piccadilly Lines taking residents into the centre of London in just over half an hour. The district has a good deal of community culture including the Ickenham Festival which has taken place every two years since the 1970s, originally with the aim of highlighting the variety of societies and groups in the area.
