Living in Finchley area information and guide

Finchley area overview

Finchley is a quiet and relaxed residential London suburb. It covers quite a big area so is usually split into north, south east and west. It is very well connected to the centre with a number of stations, although they're all on the northern line. It's famous for being Margaret Thatchers constituency, the southern limit of the last ice age as well as having a thriving Jewish community. As it's very much residential suburb without a massive commercial centre and relatively far from the centre, there are a mix of young, family and elderly residents.
