Charlton in inner south east London is a suburb with a long and rich history. It is home to football club Charlton Athletic F.C. and the location of the beautiful Jacobean manor of Charlton House. It is also home to several parks including Maryon Park, Maryon Wilson Park, Hornfair Park and Charlton Park, which is largely made up of sports pitches or playing fields.
